Great piece! I think it’s interesting how in both of these stories the human that parallels the dog the most is a woman. People often think of dogs as a “man’s animal.”

Nye, Its time to come spend a week at Aunt Marys. You meet the real thing, dog, cat , woman and go to the zoo to quietly mediate about all animals. Until then, I hope you talk to your cats and observe them. They are more than living breathing stuffed toys. You really are missing out!
